you know the gaps in the front splitter on a Gti for those ait vent type things, is it possible to get lights to sit in them? anyone tried that?

I wouldn't try it if your cars too low...my splitter catches on a couple of bumps on the way home and I'd have no chance of keeping lights in there...I'd spend more time getting out and picking them up off the road!

do you have any idea what lights they used and where i can get some from as my main problem is finding some that will fit in the hole?

my golf is olny 40mm lowered, i havent had any trouble with bumps yet, but then again my springs havent fully worn in yet

I would have thought you will be safe with a 40mm drop

Ive got a spair one kicking about from GSF were the vents havnt been cut out but the recess is there, Mounting lights in there would be easy as you could fix them to the back of the vent were its not been cut out and just drill a small hole for the cables.

I would just use some cheapo ones from ebay or Halfords or whatever, bit low on the car to be using expensive ones!

On a MK2 the switch is already set up & wired for fogs, and the loom runs to a plug under the expansion tank.  You just have to run wires to the lamps from there :)

hmm lights in the splitter sound a cool idea...my valver has 'special' vent tubes that suck all the mud and grit from the road and spread it over the brakes...think i do the council a big favour each rainy Devon day
