I’m surprised they revealed an ID4 GTX rather than an ID3. 300PS with a range of 2 miles apparently.

But of course we all know that the GTX comes out first, then when you have ordered they make a GTX Clubsport  and then if that doesn't get you, an ID4-R with the final kicker being a GTX ED5 (with a fake Akra exhaust and some door stickers)

I'm a little surprised that as they sung it's sporting heritage and that's it's equipped with twin motors and AWD, that the performance wasn’t better. 0-62 in 6.2 seconds is standard GTI territory and won't bother an R (or a Tesla for that matter), but then I suppose this isn't the ID3, so it's a bigger SUV body. Bet it costs a bloody fortune though !

You're right Fred, it's even worse when you consider all the cars made across the VAG group, they are literally competing with themselves for the customers finance package!

Should have done an ID3 GTX.  I was tempted to go electric this time around, but the ID3 just isn't very nice.

The GTX will just be a quicker not very nice.

What happened to that ID roadster thingy that VW previewed at some point? One of those with a proper roof would pique my interest even if the interior is made from those inserts you get in Family Circle biscuit boxes.

I could just eat a custard cream now you mention it.

There’s an ID5 coming out but it’s some SUV/coupe monstrosity.

Maybe the ID3 v2 will be a nicer looking/built motor?
