Ooof been forgetting to keep this updated, what all has happened since January 2024?
Nearly pulled the trigger with selling it for an Audi S4 3L TFSI, then noticed it had more hits than the Beatles, so as you do I thought the only rational thing to do is to double down with the GTI.
On 52k miles now so it's had:
Brake Fluid Change
4 x Oil changes
Gearbox Oil Changed
LSD Oil Changed
Brake discs, pads and dust shields all replaced.
Fuel Cap Actuator Replaced
Windscreen Wiper Arm Changed due to paint flaking (really it was OCD)
Bought a set of genuine 18inch Pretorias for winter wrapped in Continental All Season Contact 2's.
The carbon fibre exhaust tips had finally annoyed me enough after replacing them 3 times, that I bought Remus Chrome Exhaust Tips, hated the colour contrasting with my theme so got them Cerakoted Satin Black by Kotec Ceramic Coatings! Highly recommend Andy's services for anyone looking.

That's been a very busy time surely there's nothing else?Wrong, as I decided to keep my car potentially until it blows up and beyond (RS3 Daza engine you say?), I noticed the suspension wasn't just as tight as it used to be, being in construction I blame concrete dust getting around the bushes.
So I thought sure why not, I've sprung for a set of KW Street Comfort coilovers, I'm not looking to get any great lowering roughly about 15mm (ideally I'd prefer 10mm) along with new Lemforder top mounts and bearings, they'll be due in soon and will get a hunter alignment at the same time. Potentially I might change my wheel colour to BMW White Gold / BBS White Gold when lowered.
I've also ordered a few interior upgrades which will land around the same time as the suspension, although it's not wingbacks (despite my best efforts, they're still in talks though).
Finally to top it all off, spent the weekend giving it a coat of Polishangel Rapidwaxx and Autobrite P64. Although this is just a temporary measure as I'll be redoing the ceramic coating on it soon and hopefully get the roof wrap replaced as well.
