MK3.5 Cabrio - Bumper trim query

Hi, I've not long taken ownership of a 2000 MK4/3.5 Cabrio

I wondered if someone could advise if the front bumper trim on the 3.5 cabrio is interchangeable with the full fat MK4 Golf?

The bumper strips are currently not colour coded, however they appear to have been painted black in the past - This is now flaking and ruins what is otherwise a really tidy and clean car.

I could remove them, sand them down and paint them properly, but it would be easier if I could just replace them with colour coded trim from a MK4.

Apologies if it's been asked before.
