Possible leak
« on: 05 February 2021, 13:10 »
 I noticed today after a 30 mile spin out on return to home there was a leak of black like liquid on the patio and running out of the wheel , I have not cleaned my wheels for a few months so could it be brake dust and water  hopefully is , I don’t want to have anything leaking

Does it smell of anything at all?

That's the quick test... stick your finger in it and sniff it.

How do the brakes feel? Could be brake fluid and brake dust mixing to look black..

Could be a leaking rubber boot from the suspension. Lock the wheel out fully to see more

If it smells of literally nothing but muddy water its not any vehicle fluids (assuming your washer tank has screen wash in it, all of the others have a distinct smell)

Ok i had a look , could not see any mess behind the wheel on the springs etc , Brakes feel fine when driving, and there wasnt really any smell with the stuff, cleaned it all up and water washed the mess straight off the drive , so i'm hoping its water mixed with brake dust on the wheel...

Looks more like a dog took a leak on your wheel to me but that would smell very obvious I would think.
