I ha an inkling this would happen, which is why when I got mine in 2017 I asked for a service book. Got the full package, user manual etc but it was for a MK7 not a MK7.5.
It'll probably get better in time !!!!!!!!!!

Yeah me to... my main thought was how would a non-VW dealer or just some bloke in autotrader ever be able to see my service history if VW had locked it away. I didn't imagine the dealerships would screw up the digital entry, but hey, I was wrong!

Anyone can login to erwin and see their digital service history, for a small fee you can add an entry yourself (though you have to pretend to be a business when you log in).

My car came with three stamps in the book - however only one of them was recorded digitally.  I'm now wondering which one is telling the truth.  With GDPR regulations, some dealers are removing all paperwork that identifies the previous owner - I don't think this is strictly necessary with GDPR but it seems most are taking this line.  Guess its no risk to them.  Oh well...
