But if you bought the Prets for your current car, they’d fit a mk8 to replace the nasty standard swastika alloys, so IMO it wouldn’t be money wasted.

Also, you’d be preserving the condition of your existing wheels (assuming you’d be keeping them and putting them into storage), so when you put them back on your mk7.5 when the time comes to sell it, a mk7.5 with a set of pristine OEM alloys will be attractive to potential buyers .

Yea all good arguments, if i went with the Mk8 i would spec 19's on that.. not the swast's

But i love my Mk7.5 and dont have that usual feel to change .... might just order the Pret's and suffer the wrath

Anyone ever used Bola wheels?

Motech are using Bola wheels for m135’s which seem popular.  They look great and for the BMW don’t require spacers. As you said price isn’t high either.

Yes I've picked up on the name from BMW-land.

They do a set of flow forged 19's that weigh in at around 9kg and are ~1200 quid for a set - which is not bad overall, I just fear that's very cheap vs the competition and that has to be something less good doesn't it?

I guess everything is relative...

Cheap compared to BBS or OEM yes. Cheap compared to replica's probably not.

To be honest a lot of OEM wheels have been fragile, BMW 3 series wheels from the F gen had issues IIRC and Prets also don't seem to be to great in this regard.

I haven't looked at Bola too much but they look great (the FLC ones).  Having had an M135i before my TCR I was on the BM forum quite a bit. As the wheel is carried by Motech who seem to do a boat load of BMW's (mainly Maxton) I would have expected to hear about any issues on there...

I think if they did the right size for the TCR it would be one I would consider if I was getting a new set.

It was bound to happen. I see CM rep Estorils in  18”, 19” and 20” have appeared on their Facebook page. Seems like the width and ET vary. No prices shown yet, price on enquiry.

Actually just purchased a set of Bola CSR for my brother in laws 1 series. They’re are a good quality alloy and alloywheels.com where I got them from can custom the offset to an extending as they machine the PCD and ET (or at least they did with these as they were blanks)
