I ordered myself some new Borbet Y's. Cheers though!

Nice wheels. Can you tell me were they perfect fit with centre bore of 57.1? If so where did you get them from? I'm thinking about buying the same wheels just an inch smaller.

Cheers! I bought the wheels from Rimstyle. I found they were around £30 cheaper than other suppliers for these particular rims. Although I ordered them on the 27th December, I'm yet to receive them. I've been told this is due to covid/brexit, with the wheels coming from Borbet in Germany. I'm not sure if they're a perfect fit, their website says "that a ring can be provided to fit into the centre bore hole for perfect fitment, before showing the wheel to you. Some wheels are also direct fit and will not require spigot rings."

Thanks, @GTIGeordie . Rimstyle seems to be the best price-wise for these wheels. I'll send them a message to find out. I would like to get perfect fit one because they do come at 57.1 and 66.6, but that's just me ....

Another dilema. Black or Titan Matt for pure white GTI. Haven't seen Titan matt round here so not sure if it looks good on a white car.
On pictures it looks decent...

 I had the same dilemma. I went for gloss black in the end as they'll be for winter so figured they would hide any weather-related marks better

I'll be replacing my 19" Brescias - which will be for sale with tyres for cheap btw-. Just can't be bothered with that diamond-cut finish. Living in a flat I don't have space to keep a spare set for winter so new alloys will be on a car all year round.

Gloss black wheels scratch to buggery in no time.
Dark grey look really good against white and hide brake dust and road salt quite well.

Agree, grey alloys look good against white. I also think they look good with red.........come to think of it, IMO grey wheels look good with most car paint colours.

I’ve just recently changed the diamond cut Brescias on my White Polo GTI+ for a set of grey powder coated alloys. They’re a little bit lighter in colour than I thought they were going to be (they’re described as Ferric Grey); I think they’re more like a dark silver, but I much prefer them to diamond cut wheels - much more durable and no risk of white worm corrosion.

I’ll be keeping them on the car all year round. The Brescias are in storage and won’t be going back on the car any time soon; not until the time comes to sell the car, which is a long time away as I’ve only owned it just over three months.
2020 Polo GTI Plus; Pure White, DSG (because they all are)
Gone but not forgotten;
2016 Polo GTI; Blue Silk
2011 mk6 Golf GTD; Carbon Grey
2007 mk5 Golf GT (2.0 170bhp TDI version); Deep Black Pearl
2002  mk4 Golf GTI (the 150 bhp diesel version); Deep Black Pearl

That means no black wheels for my car    -- obsessed with scratch-free everything...
Would you guys rather go for Borbet Y ( Titan Matt) or BBS SR ( Satin Himalaya Grey) and which one is darker in the flesh?
That's the last decision  I have to make  and rest my mind for years

What’s the price difference?
In 19” the SR’s are 8.5 wide so will be quite heavy but I slightly prefer the styling to the Y’s.
I was considering the SR’s myself but was unsure whether they’d squeeze under the front arches on a mk8
