Partly down to spec, this is the first Golf 8 we have had with DCC.......it also has Pro Navigation as well as being white with a Pan roof. I also have a set of Black Pretoria’s to go on it which I think are going to make it look incredible!
To Confirm our launch car spec:
Pure White
Pan roof
DCC
Pro Navigation
Though not essential and many like the firmer ride the DCC with Pretoria will likely make for a really lovely ride when put it into comfort and normal for those longer rides out - DCC is great tech in the MK 7 series so with all the noises on the slightly improved ride and handling on the MK 8 it should be quite noticeable.
Was a critic of the MK 8, its pretty awful in its vanilla wrapping, and the GTi has not changed that view with that woeful front end and the standard alloys, but the ClubSport has improved on the front end and the R has then upped that once more, think they have maximised the best MK 8 can look on the R, with all the pumped up performance features.
Will never be sold on the interior tech as being a good thing, mainly on safety and distraction, but obviously you would adapt to it and train self to use the steering wheel menus more, and be interested the real world feedback you get in the showroom (when allowed) and as these MK 8 roll out
Did see someone on the VWROC forum order a £50k R with the performance pack and akrapovic, thats serious money, makes my TCR seem a bargain!
