HELP ..... ACC Not Available

I cleared the fault and it’s never returned.

This like most errors is worth just trying first. Always a good chance it’s just thrown it at a particular test point and may be ok.
If it does return then you know it’s a definite issue.

Disconnect the battery for 10-15 minutes, reconnect and the dash will light up with warning lights for a short time.  Ignore these and go for a five mile plus drive.  Then park up and turn off for another 10-15, on restart the ACC and collision protection should be the only errors you see, go for another five mile drive and it should clear.

I had this same message around a year ago on my mk7 even though I hadn’t removed anything.
I read the controller with VCDS,the fault read,power supply intermittent or words to that effect.
I cleared the fault and it’s never returned.

Thanks for the quick replies    I've also seen on the net that VCDS is worth trying. I'm just trying to find a garage (Independent) who has it.

If I'm correct in thinking on the MK7 the radar was in the bottom grille, so wasn't effected when removing the bumper.

Not sure whether Carista or OBD2 could clear this fault, but may be worth a lower cost try, if you can’t get help with VCDS. If either of those fails to clear the fault, you could still do quite a few useful mods!

Yer I've got OBD11, but not able to clear fault. I've also got my first MOT due next month, so not sure if it will fail, due to the faults on the dash ??

Unfortunately dash warning lights are an MOT failure now.

What a load of tosh. When I hit the pheasant in my previous car it totally demolished the hanging bracket the radar sensor sat on. Got it all repaired which meant a new front cross member and then dealer just re attached the sensor. It never needed recalibrated and even when the sensor was slightly lose in its holder all the dealer did was put a bit of felt behind and then clipped it back in. Worked perfectly and at no point was recalibrated.

I similarly hit some wildlife (muntjac deer) and VW replaced the lower grill and ACC bracket and I also had to pay £300 for the sensor to be recalibrated.
