Funny you should say that, I've just checked the text messages you receive from the dealer when they send you your visual inspection video.

For my first service back in May 2019, it said Front brake pads 40% worn, rear brake pads 40% worn.

From my service in May this year (same dealer) - Front bake pads 30% worn, rear brake pads 30% worn

So it looks like without my spec'ing it VW fitted my car with self regenerating brake pads as well  >:D >:D

Just been quoted £178 for my third year service, need to have a couple of warranty items looked at so of course was advised that that would be an extra £60 if they did not find anything!
Booked in for the 11th Nov....

The variation is down to the eyesight of the 'technician' as they'd need to take the wheels off to actually measure them.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.
