Let’s hope we get Oak Green on the Mk8.

My Mk2 is Oak Green and I love that colour. Thinking back to the late 80's, green seemed like an odd colour to choose for a GTI. You would have thought red, white and black would have been the go to colours, but luckily the bloke that ordered mine had good foresight.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Oak Green was my favourite colour for the mk2 GTI. I used to park next to one in my work car park most days in the early 1990’s. The owner took great pride in his car and it showed, and it got more than the occasional admiring glance from me .

I had one of the first Mk2 GTI's 8v which was in Lhasa Green (metallic and slightly deeper than the one pictured) What a fantastic car, unfortunately went to the great breakers in the sky after an accident when someone drove into the side of her

We're going off on a right tangent here, but mk2 gti in Capri Green for the win.  Much nicer that oak.

I always seem to end up with black cars.

Love the Gti in DBP I’m not really into cleaning the car to show how good it can look but always drawn to black.

PITA to clean yes but it’s look the business

It’s a thought provoking tangent. Which of the mk7 colours will be remembered with such fondness as oak/lhasa green?

There's only one colour that truly floats my boat in the mk7 range and that's Lapiz.
