130PD ECU to 150PD ECU will it make a differance?

Hello boys and girls.  I.m not new its just been a while and i forgot my login details 

Today i bought a 2004 mk4 TDI PD130  156k.  A friend of mine is coming over at the weekend with PD150 ECU.

My questions is...  Is the car likely to make any noticeable gains and has anyone tried it before?

If it makes  a difference i was going to upgrade the SMIC and a  d-cat and maybe delete the  EGR.

Update... tried it and as some of you will have guessed the immo kicked in as it didnt recognise the ecu so i've ordered a vag-com and vag-tacho and try again.
