The MINI Cooper SE is properly quick at the speeds where you want a MINI to be quick and to be honest a MINI isn’t a long distance car. BMW know that and have the package about right.
I’d settle for an 80 mile range if it had a JCW bodykit and an extra 30 or so BHP! I’d just jump on a train for longer journeys or keep a Diesel second car.
Teslas do indeed look like jelly moulds and remind me of the original Ford Sierras.
They’re purely aimed at ex-3 series company car drivers who want speed and tax avoidance. Fully throw away vehicles so build quality is probably of minimal concern.
Hats off to Elon Musk as he’s a bit of an interesting/curious character and a man of our time, and isn’t he shacked up with Grimes? She’s proper batsh!t eccentric and wonderfully so which is such a breath of fresh air in a world of corporate blandness.
A 4wd ID.3 R would be really interesting aside from having an interior made of badly recycled Tupperware.
So long as it went like a Tesla I could forgive it that.
Shame Tesla don’t do a Golf sized hatch, potentially it could be fun!
Anyway, back on topic, a Turbo Blue S3 in Vorsprung spec looks pretty appealing to these old eyes.
