I tend to buy Golf+ but not religiously, if i like the look of the car on the front then i tend to buy it, and only ever buy pvw if they have no Golf + left, i only ever read the articles that are of interst to me and dnt tend to read all of it.

I am not Performance VW's biggest fan to be honest, they had pictures of V6 clio's with body kits in there last month! I dnt want to see that!

so to wrap up i prefer golf + and to be honest cant see any cause for complaints! Although "the brain" annoys me sometimes when someone is asking for advice on tuning their particular engine, all they say is "dnt build a car u can buy" - the guy just wanted advice on tuning his engine not on how to buy a car!

I go for Golf+ and sadly I read it cover to cover, not bothered with PVW for ages now.

Got to disagree with you slightly there Neaty, I know the brain can come across as a bit full of himself but when someone asks "How do I make my 1.8 GL into a 16V" then the retort of "Dont build a car you can buy" would be quite apt.
......now officially dubless.

I know what he is saying, it makes sense, dnt build a car u can buy but, each to their own. Plus alot of the time, the people who are trying to build a car they can buy cant afford it, thus they try and build it.

Hello all, used to subscribe to Golf mag and buy of the shelf PVW although wasn't bothered if it had sold out, like you have said PVW are full of themseves and like seeing themselves in print!! So out the 2 its got to be Golf mag every time and the Brain is class although its quicker to ask qustions on this forum  He's a knowledgeable guy and probably only says buy a car with the engine already fitted as he gets to see alot of the bodges attempted.. He needs to open a Garage near the Brighton area!!

If you have to buy one it''ll be golf+ as it comes out at start of the month and when pvw comes out couple weeks later it filled with the same crap, But different cars. Best if you have spare 2hrs and go to whsmiths read through it there.
