discs and pads
« on: 09 July 2020, 14:58 »
Hi
Time to change discs and pads all round. There are so many variations about, which I find quite mind
boggling.
I have found EBC GD discs and yellowstuff pads online. Has anyone tried this combo and how have you
found them. Or are there any other combos worth looking into. I have a stage 2 pp gti.
thanks in advance. :undecided:

Are you after performance or just normal brakes?

Are you on the OEM's at the moment?

My local garage said they swap VW ones for Brembo everytime because they are "better"

I'm no expert but if you fit true race brake parts you won't see them last very long and possibly they won't work properly at road use....

So I'd suggest being a little careful about choosing "better road use" rather than full on track use components.

Thanks. I have enquired at EBC and they have suggested a set of discs and pads for road use.
