I think we will pull the trigger on the seasucker mini bomber - thanks again for this great suggestion!

Pricy, but if you added up all the bits required for roof bars and carriers etc its not too far off but more practical (for me at least). Tweeks cycles seems to the best price I can find too.

More importantly I don't need to buy a Skoda Superb Estate now (although these do look pretty impressive).

Thanks

No worries, agree it is pricey but like you said with all the bits etc it soon adds up and with that you can use it on any vehicle too which you'd generally need some new bars for so not terrible. Plus easy to put on/off!

I've noticed they do a little device called a Hogg.

That allows you to clip your front wheel to the rear wheel QR axel so you don't need to keep this in the car. This looks awesome and if you buy from Seasucker directly then it works out to £436 ish. otherwise its about £45 each, so seems a good deal.

Yeah I bought the Mini Bomber and then bought a Flight Deck(basically a sucker on a plate with a metal bar) so I could do similar if carrying two bikes, otherwise I put the metal bar on the other side of the mini bomber for most day to day usage. The Sea Sucker site doesn't seem to stock it on it's own though.
