Proper angry hornet noise that!
This car does interest me greatly.
A proper bespoke coupe sharing not a great deal with the car it borrows a name from.
Definitely one to be investigated further.
I’ve no real use for a family five seater hatch these days and since my son returned my other car to me I‘Ve been spending the last six or more weeks commuting in a car with a manual gearbox and handbrake again which is perfect with hardly any traffic on the roads! Getting 55mpg is quite nice too

In this age where everything on the car has become a digital experience it’s nice to have a car that has an immediate intimate physical reaction to every manual input no matter how small. That’s what I grew up with in (admittedly mostly modified) hot hatches and what I miss most with lardy modern cars strangled by emissions compromises despite the ingenuity of the engineers squeezing ever more efficiency from the moving parts.
The GR could be an answer to whats rapidly being lost (and not missed by the dishwasher and PlayStation generation).
Mind you I might look a bit of a tit getting in and out of one at my age, but hey, who cares?!!
