Been advised I need a new door handle on the one side.

This is fine, but it needs painting.  Not feeling too comfortable with this to be honest.  Not just colour matching but also longevity of the finish.

Unfortunately not a lot I can do.

Hoping its done well...

they get gunged up with dirt...either pull door handle open & use a soft long bristle detailing brush & foam to clean out...or remove (one bolt on door edge)…& clean

This. Clean your cars, you dirty buggers!

Haha.

Only had it professionally detailed and ceramic coated a few months ago and it’s cleaned religiously every week so it’s definitely not dirt that was the problem

Same Issue here, never had this problem on any other car. Does anyone have any other suggestion than WD 40?
Cheers

Guess it depends how bad it is.

They fixed my drivers side one (not sure on what was done) and replaced the passenger side one - during same booking.

Thanks CookiemonsterGTI
I am having some transmission / wheel bearing grumbling as well so will ask them to have a look prior to it running out of warranty.
I was wondering about the 'dry' graphite spray as it might be a bit more friendly to the paintwork and not attract the dust like WD40 does?
Cheers
