Add on Blindspot Mirrors

I realise that from the overall looks of the car point of view this is near sacrilege, but does anyone know of a blindspot mirror that sits on top of the door mirror casing and will fit a mk7.5?
I have a neck problem and bought my mk7.5 prereg so getting the the radar blindspot monitoring fitted wasn't an option. The gap between the door mirror glass and the casing is very small and with the two different makes of add on mirror that I've tried so far the mounting bracket jams the door mirror glass. I know there are blindspot mirrors that can be stuck to the glass of the door mirror but I really don't want to go down this route - I think the door mirror is small enough as it is without making it any smaller.

These sort of things are used by the police and driving instructors. They are cheap enough to buy and see how you get on with them.

I wouldn't bother with them, they won't do retrofits. Most won't anyway.
