Removing pedal box
« on: 07 February 2020, 11:35 »
I currently have a pedal box (the more recent 'plus' version) currently fitted to m 67 plate GTI 230 manual.  It has been fantastic.

I will need to remove this shortly when I trade the car in at my dealer and collect my newly ordered GTI PP DSG.

I didn't fit the pedal box myself - my insurer was happy to cover the mod with no increase in premium provided I didn't fit it myself (but got it fitted professionally - which I did).

My question is, just how simple is it to remove a pedal box?  I don't pretend to have any mechanical knowledge at all, but is it really as simple as unplug?

Simple, just 2 plugs, one on the pedal that the pedal box loom plugs into and the original plug that plugs into the pedal box loom. Unplug them and then plug the original plug back into the pedal, then remove the pedal box.
