The newest golfs have no resonate as they have the gpf instead
gpf doesn't replace the resonator so they have both.
TCR, Pure Grey, DCC, Dynaudio and Climate Screen.

Our Golf 245 (registered July 19), is a DKTB engine code with a GPF.

It has a resonator, as I was under it last weekend.

Yes I think perhaps the OP slightly confused.

This might help..

so going back to my earlier point then, are we saying brand new gti's have the gpf and res box but "R's do not then  -  is there
something different with the set up on the R then or have I misunderstood? Its just that I thought if the R did not the GTI would not?

So you can delete the centre resonator like you can on the MK7 without any issues then?

Got a mk7.5 gti performance with the sh!tty gpf filter so no res delete for me, wanna make it louder n been looking at remus race back box delete but unsure of if it will be loud enough/too loud? Anyone done anything similar or any advice on which way to go?

Question - why do you say 'no res delete for me'?

 Jim, isn't that exactly what you've had done on your 7.5 GTI performance WITH GPF?

Yes, hence me wondering.
So it is possible to get res delete even though it has gpf?

It’s a slightly different fitting for the 7.5 Performance as different exhaust to any of the other GTIs. I was informed by the VAG specialist that the GPF is the round box ahead of the res delete in the picture but others aren’t sure this is the case.

It’s not a huge difference straight away but does sound good. Here’s a bit of footage of mine:

I assume you have you not looked underneath to check then? If it has one it appears from the pics that it is fairly obvious?
