Can i get good sound without a decat??

Only had my GTi a few weeks and not sure if the car is really quiet or it's just really quiet on the inside?

It is really quiet. I was so surprised when I first took one out for a test drive. Genuinely would have thought they’d have gone a little beefier stock.

Mk7's GTIs are quiet, apart from CS models. They have addressed this for the Mk7.5 Performance but still, it's a Golf so it's not too loud.

I don't know if it's because I've had so many diesels in the past with zero exhaust noise and then to the golf R which was completely silent considering what it was but the 7.5 performance, I actually think mine is borderline loud inside standard!! (a really nice sound though, very burbly!) I've was considering a res delete for a while but honestly now she's got over 10k on her I don't think I could live with any extra exhaust noise!!

The cabin seems to have better soundproofing than my last car so I wasn't sure. Made it a bit difficult when trying to find the clutch biting point  . Might look at trying to make it a little louder one day but haven't had the car for too long yet.
