Yes I am back at looking at that hard again this morning.
Grey, 300ish horses, Golf sized, roughly Golf shaped... CHEAPER...its not a bad choice ;-)
Cheaper, more future proof, faster, plusher inside... but not as much fun!
The 135i is a great choice though (still prefer the TCR personally but sense would say to get the BMW instead)

There must be some great deals on in stock Golf R’s about which would keep under the £40k tax and it’s still an amazingly accomplished car that is very satisfying to own and drive plus will keep decent residuals.
we'll all be riding in Johnny cabs and car ownership will probably have gone the same way as keeping a horse has
