19 x 8 ET 28, will they fit?
« on: 05 January 2020, 11:02 »
Morning all, I've been looking at a set of alloys for my 7.5 GTI but not sure if they will poke out to much. They came of a mk3 Scirocco, the size is 19 x 8 ET28 with 235/35/19 tyres. Willtheyfit.co.uk calculate that they will stick out 25mm than my current Parkers setup. To me that sounds a bit too much

Way too low an offset for a Golf.
On an 8J width I’d say realistically (using 235 tyres) 40 front and 35 rear ET.

I run 19x8.5 et43. I get no rubbing at all. Your set up would be about 9mm further out. I think the rears would fit fine but you would be very close at the front. If you ran a 225/35 tyre I would think they would just tuck in.....

Thanks for the reply, thought the offset was to low. I'll give them a miss, my search continues
