Looking to buy GTI PP 7.5
« on: 13 December 2019, 21:44 »
Hi everyone. After owning my GTI for a year I want to get one with PP but it has to be without gpf for two reasons- farts ( I know some hate it but I do like them) and MPI.
So can you guys tell me if anything from 68 plate is a no go ? Or was it sooner when VW make these changes

That's not what I wanted to hear because I was actually looking to get something on 18 plate.
What about dual injection. Is it still present ?

I believe that all 7.5PP cars have the GPF fitted so you won’t find a PP one that farts. Good news is that the exhaust on the PP cars sounds alright considering the GPF. Really nice burble on cold start.

Not good news. Thing is I'm just concerned about carbon build up with direct injection engines. Most likely Im just overreacting but was hoping they still equipped with port injectors as well

I was exactly the same, something weirdly satisfying about the DSG farts but now I have my 68 plate GTi performance even with the GPF it sounds amazing, better than any GTi pervious!! (in my opinion) such a nice burble and actually pretty loud, I brought mine as a 3 month old and I actually checked to see if it had had a res delete done on it!!

Yes, the Performance model sounds much deeper and louder than the 7.5 230 model that farts. The 230 sound quite tinny and raspy in comparison.

I did a few videos - this first one is both start-ups

And this is my 7.5 Performance with the Vagsport res delete

Its the Vagsport one from Progressive Parts. Think they are £150 plus £35 to fit, in Manchester. They are spot on to deal with, very knowledgable with VAG cars and a Revo dealer.
