Raj, I sent you a PM there with my mobile number.

Hi buddy,

apologies for the delay but have whatsapp'd you. Just been a crazy day at work.

Tbh they are a bit useless as I called them and went down to see a PP GTI I was really interested in. Got messed around too as they didn't seem to be able to get anyone to call me back either. You end up at their central office call centre who only give some basic info of the car from their system.

Will bell them tomorrow and go see it on Saturday for you.

Raj

It's Evans Halshaw, personally I wouldn't buy a car from the likes of them or Available Car etc. The bodywork and alloys will have had cheap/poor quality smart repairs if it's needed a touch up.

Wait for a forum car to pop up or buy from a specialist like Volkswizard.

Looking at the pictures, it doesn't look like it's been loved. Tailpipes as mentioned before, ingrained dirt in the door cards and mats, dust in crevices, scratches on the instrument cluster, I could go on.

Pictures generally hide a multitude of sins, but in this case, I think they highlight the scruffiness.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

The great thing about all those items above is that with a good day or so of detailing, you could make it look it new again.

You never know how a car has been driven unless you personally know the owner and how they drive. The owner could have been very mechanically sympathetic to the car but not been into cleaning. Some people are like that. Of course, you could take the view that not looking after it from a cleaning point of view means that it hasn't been well looked after in other areas.

Cheers guys for all the feed back and your views on the car many echoed by myself, I think at this stage I will let this car go. Just a few negatives re the dealership themselves and the car prep as said it is not the best, lack of plaque and only one service, would annoy me, minor niggles but still on a 22k car.

So big thanks to Raj who was going too have a look over the car, with a new year just round the corner I'm positive some thing in a looked after car will come up for sale that will tick all the boxes.

So again thanks for all the feed back helped greatly in the thought process.
