Michelin Cup 2 N0 tyres
« on: 28 July 2019, 19:29 »
Hi, I have Porsche N0 Cup 2s on the rear and base Cup 2s on the front.  The N0s were manufactured 3416 so presumably OE fit?  What have others got fitted?  I did read somewhere that the original press cars at the Nürburgring had N0 fitted. Cheers.

The "N" rated tyre system is a Porsche approval system. They start with N0, then as subsequent upgrades of tyres are replaced they have the N1, N2 etc...

I would assume your car came with regular Cup 2's, the fronts have worn and been replaced, as the rears wear less these new N0 tyres will have been put on the rear with the base C2's on the front to wear them out sooner.... You could check production dates on the sidewall to verify this.

Hi
Recently bought a set a Cup 2s for my Clubsport (not S) and cannot find any information on tyre pressure settings for road use so any guidance would be appreciated. The garage that fitted them set the pressures at 38 all round, which I thought was too high so I’ve lowered to 34 but great to get feedback.

Hi Paul, I adjusted mine to 38 when I got the car but the ride was too rough on anything but smooth roads. I dropped them to 36 which improved things.  It states 38 as the pressure for 235/35 19 on the door jamb.  I might try 34.  Out of interest Porsche recommend 32 on the Cayman for the same tyre size.

Thanks for the feedback CSS. I am running 18s and might try adjusting the pressures a little but 34 seems OK for me as still getting familiar with the tyres.

The GT4 rear axle weight its about the same as the CSS front axle weight and the pressures for that are 33psi so that’s what I use on the CSS on all 4  corners and worked fine
