No volume on sound system

If you're going down the replacement unit route, be aware that Discover Nav and Discover Nav Pro are two different units. Fine if you're not bothered, but don't buy a Nav thinking it's a Nav Pro!

The theft protection setup is not that easy either. Units are paired to the original ECU and need recoding to pair to your car. Involves internet communication with VW HQ I believe.

I’d be inclined to go to a Indy with a vw licence for upgrading modules, and get him to check the update, or see if he could redo it, as I’m sure this was just a firmware glitch
