Ask them to find you a new & unregistered car on the system and get it before the end of the month.

If the dealer doesn’t have anything ring a dealer which sits in a large(r) group such as Inchcape and tell them what you’re after. They can check their internal system for all stock across all dealers in that group and also what’s incoming.

The good thing is you now know exactly what you want and can get for your money, so armed with that info get on the blower to some large dealer groups, and say you will do the deal today/tomorrow if they have what you want.

Here you go...

White, Brescias, in-stock, pretty much 15% off as is, but the extra £500 isn't included in the price so that could/would go on top of the discount if you asked, taking it to over 15%.

Ring your lease company and ask if they would take it back a month early without penalty? When I leased a Golf directly through VWFS I enquired abut sending it back 6 weeks early for which they said there would be no charge if I did...

First post!

I'm in the market for a new GTI and I took a trip to the dealers today. Was told that the lead time for a new build is 4 months but because I only want a 5dr DSG in white with no options that there's a good chance they can find one for me. They are going to call me on Monday to confirm.

Looks like I will miss out on the extra £500 deposit contribution as that promotion ended today.

Would have liked Brescias but the Parkers really do look better in the flesh that they do in photos and I think I would prefer my car to ride on 18" wheels.

I'm in two minds, just seen gateway to lease have 24 month leases working out to around 300pm with 800 down. I do wonder if I'd be better off doing that...

I just worry with leasing how nit picky they are about wear and tear when handing back. I've got to hand my tt back in May so I'll find out then I suppose! Having said that, I keep my cars well looked after anyways so should be fine. Have emailed gatway to get a quote with bigger alloys, if it's cheaper than the 360pm pcp then I think I defo need to consider leasing again
