strange Heater problem

Ok, update.

I changed the Heater bypass valve and had hot air for a week. But now its back to warm air until the engine gets up to temp - So? I am right in thinking that the heater bypass valve has gone again?! If it was the heater matrix then I wouldn't have any hot air at all right?

Sounds like the valves have packed up again, buy a new pair of uncut heater hoses for about £20 from GSF and bin the valves completely!

that sounds normal to me warm then hot when at running temp.

Right, I have done what Organisys suggested and knocked the valves on the head completely! Went to my local motor factor and bought a metre of hose for £1.20. Replaced the valves with the hose and hey presto, sitting in the car is like sitting in Hawaii! Nice. I'm not sure how faulty the heater matrix are in the A2S but I'm hoping that I don't get scalded! A small price to pay to have heat!!

If it does blow then replace it for a stronger mk3 version.

It was blue who suggested it, but mine have been removed as well, and it does help alot. Still get airlocks every once in a while though.
