« on: 11 October 2005, 07:38 »
i know i've posted this in vw related, but think its prob better here... i'm 19 with 2 yrs no claims, 1 accident -non fault from june this year unfortunately, after ringing everyone possible... i cna't get insured on a 1.8 gti mk1cabriolet for under £1100

so now with a change of plan, im after a 1.8 clipper! got a grand to spend, and im hoping that i'll be lucky!!! .. V.lucky!

Is anyone else in the same boat with a mk1 cab? who is everyone insured with? anyone know where there maybe one for sale, up north? as all the ones i can find tat are right price and 150-200 miles away! Argh!!!

I was 21 when I got my Cab and the cheapest quote back then (8 years ago) was £1100.

I paid - what choice did I have, I'd already bought the car. :undecided:

Good luck anyway!
