Winter tyres: 2wd vs 4wd

Slightly back on topic - I have decided to run my winter tyres at 38 PSI until I have more information.

May be I should start a new thread on this subject.

For the mk7 GTi it's 36psi all round. It wasn't until the FL that VW started with the weird increase in pressures. In theory it shouldn't matter what tyre you use, you should always go by the recommended pressure but in practice as we are finding that's not the case.

Mines pre FL and the sticker says 38psi all round which imo is way too high.

What year is yours Ryan? Mines a December 16 PP and it's got 36psi on the door card. Do you not find 34 a bit squishy??

It's a 2016 model first registered in late 2015. I'll have to double check when I'm next in the GTi but pretty sure it was 38psi all round on the sticker because I remember the tyre fitter mention it was a tad high when I put my Belvedere alloys on the other month.
