What a utter shambles. You would they would have had all necessary paperwork, codes etc ready as soon as the cars passed tell. Now you have to wait longer, even when the cars in the UK?? Mind boggling

22% drop in sales from Audi and 20% from Vw. That is crazy. I suppose that makes sense bearing in mind that you can’t order every model. I had a call from Audi back in October asking if I was interested in another S3. After a few calls they realised that you couldn’t order one until January. Seems the same for the R.

Good to hear that orders are starting to get somewhere for everyone. Must be a huge relief!

Sales guys from two dealerships telling me similar, they are turning orders away which is crazy really as either you can't order a car or the waiting list is huge, even one sales guy has been waiting for his own car since July

We ordered on Nov 24th, originally quoted 30 week lead time but dealer still accepted the order and placed it with the factory as we are happy to wait. However we now already have a confirmed build date of week 3 21/01/19 with delivery expected on March 1st

We'll be lucky if its this side of Christmas from what my dealer and VW have told me. Dealer says the car won't be released to them till VW have got a MVRIS code (not sure what that is), so I guess it will be banked for a little bit longer at Grismby or whichever port it arrived at 2 days ago. Whats an extra 3 weeks to the 5 months i've been waiting

I may have posted before that in my opinion, I wouldn't wait a further 3 months to take delivery of a car that was built in October, that mean's it will have been waiting around stagnate doing nothing but rusting for 6 months. For me, it's not worth the few extra hundred £ that it will be worth come trade in just to be driving around with the latest plate for 6 months before its replaced by 69. Besides, my dealer has told me they will honour the trade in value of my current car which was based on October trade in values as it is VW's fault, I can imagine the few hundred pound i'd gain going to the new plate would be offset by the revised value of my current car in March 19.

As soon as it's ready I'm having it!
