Hey guys, I've been following this thread for a couple of days - I ordered my GTI PP here in Poland on 12th of September and got a confirmation of production in 45th week (starting 5th of November). Seems like everything is up and running again and they delay seems to be over.

Hopefully.  I have a build week confirmed as week 44 and confirmation that WLTP certification will be in place by the first week December 2018 which is when i expect release of the car to the dealer.

Ordered GTI Performance 3 weeks ago for March 19 delivery.
Advised by dealer yesterday that it may be available in Jan.
That will bring a dilemma if it is......take or wait?
Take and it’s a 68 plate midwinter, wait and it’s a 19 in Spring but......value of trade in will have perhaps dropped £400ish in the interim.

Thanks, did over hear that the car was built shipped and was stored at the Royal highland show ground at Ingilston and was just waiting on WLTP approval then the DVLA would register the car. Will get it next week, the spoiler has a slight colour match problem, i've just asked them to fit it. I'm playing a juggling act with that car and when i sold my XR2 i bought a mk2 escort mexico, so waiting for it to be shipped end of the month.
Audi S1 gone, awaiting 1.5tsi r-line, pan roof, led lights front and rear, active dash, 18" jurva alloys and a dealer fitted Oettinger roof spoiler in tornado red.

Depends on when it arrives. If it’s last week of jan onwards I would wait if I was you. Anything before that and it would be torture knowing the car is there and ready but you've decided to wait 2 months.

I hope I get mine within the next 4 weeks. Not a fan of it being sat in an airfield somewhere in the middle of Germany for any longer than a month through winter. I imagine it would mean the oil would have to be changed sooner than 12 months of me having it etc

Almost the exact same scenario as myself this time last year. Mine was due to be a Mar 1st 18 plate but just thought it may as well be tucked up in my garage rather then wedged in somewhere on Grimsby dock or in my Dealers compound.. I picked mine up first week of Jan so it’s still a 2018 car.

Thanks, you make a good point. Better being at home with me in Jan and Feb than sitting unused in a location unknown.

VW App now moved to stage 2 this week.

(I wonder if the recent dramatic drop in new car orders has solved the factory's supposed capacity issues at least on the RHD production line? My official order papers sent three weeks ago show a delivery date of 28 April 19).

I think the fact that VW are still building the Golf GTI PPs rather than delaying production hopefully suggests that they're not far off from getting WLTP certification. I've seen that a few engine types for other models are not being built till the start of next year

Have you received any further notifications on delivery neepy?  I should just (hopefully) be behind you with mine.
