havent updated for while, but this ones only minor lol. i was on my way to uni today and i got pulled over by the "ppl of law" lol for me number plates. not a great start to the day . luckily he was a sound copper and didnt give me a fine, just got to change the plates, which ive done, and then get the form stamped by my MOT man. looks like ill have to get them re made but ill keep to the standard sized lettering this time round!

oh yea, im going to try and save some cash for a cheap set of rims for the "Gwagen" then probably next summer holidays some major work will begin on it. fingers crossed

today i thought i may aswell do some work on the car as it has been a while . this is my process of getting my bodywork perfect and getting rid of any imperfections :nerd: 2 of my arches on the car had some rust on them which started to make the paint bubble up, so i decied to sort this. i rubbed down the rust to bare metal and cleaned up the surrounding good paint and made it level with the bare metal. Next i have just primered the area and i think ill leave at this as its started to rain now  been random weather all day today. ive still got to do the other arch and ive also got to wet n dry the primered area. once ive done this i will paint up the area and get it looking the best i can and then get the other minor imperfections in the paint done from my bodyshop, now all i need is some cash, as being a student does SUCK!!!! lol  ill try and get some pics wen the weather is better.

here is a picture of the rear arch. primered and a thin layer of filler for the bits where the rust has eaten into the metal but ive cleaned that up.

all i need to do now is to wet n dry the area so it is super smooth and flat and then paint it up! then just got to do the front drivers side arch, which is only a small bit. then i will try and tackle the few dents i have

wow! had been quite a awhile since ive updated this.
well not much has changed with the car since the last update, ive just been working on making the car mint this year because im going back to uni soon so the car will only be used on the weekends.

ive finally got my self a set of rims for a bargain price, but they need refurbing which im currently carrying out, the big bumpers have "still" not been finished lol, back bumper is nearly there but the front still needs some work and i may take it to a bodyshop to get some advice on how to complete them.
i also tinted my rear lights all red with tint spray but then realised my indicators and reverse light was pink!  so i rubbed down some off the tint spray and now the lights r lighter red on top, i will have to rub them completely down for the mot and the after i will re do them but this time leaving pinstripes so the proper light shines thru still. i have also re made my custom door pods, this time i went for a simpler design and one that didnt stick out as much as the previous ones!. i have uprated the headlights with a uprated wiring loom i made my self and now the light is much better! i also bought my self a polishing kit and have been going mad at polishing bits around the car! anyways enough of the talking time for some pics:

the rims after giving them a clean, you can see where the lacquer has started to peel very badly!  :undecided: and the tyres were completely gone!

test polish on one of the rims, going to paint the centres black with a polished lip

My backbox was all rusted up and blowing badly because there was a big hole in the back of it, my original plan was to get a gti back box with twin pipes and fit it to my centre section, but there was too much work involved for me to do at the time so i got a standard 1.3 box and polished up the tail pipe:

my red rear lights and my polished back box fitted

abit of engine bay bling!

front big bumper still needs smoothing properly!

and..

my new door pods, this time i covered them with bass box carpet, came out really good and the sound quality has improved.

thats all for now, will update when ive done more work on the rims!

such a long time.... thought id update this!
well i have been busy working on a few on the car. finally finished the wheels last year in time for gti international and since then just been adding lil bits and bobs to the car as money allows. ill let the pics do the talking!

wheels all painted up ready for rubber

car looked like this at inters..

then bought a badged grille as i started to dislike the debadged one!

the car now looks like this...

next thing on the list is some coillies! which i have been trying to buy for along time but when ever i save up the money it gets spent at uni lol. still hoping to do some kind of engine conversion in the summer. let me know what you guys think

thanks for looking

havent updated this in awhile but the car has changed a lil since the last update.

ive been building a sub enclosure in some spare time at uni. used the uni's resources and materials for this so didnt really cost me much to make  :D
i used the box calculator on the RE audio website and got help from my mate,
well heres some pics for ya'll

and then all carpeted and binding posts fitted:

but im not happy with the finish on the trim... need to get some better glue to hold the carpet down so will try and neaten that up soon.

edit:
well ive finished the box and tried my best to neaten it up...
here is the finished box

the result has definately improved the sound!.... the sub now drops even lower and sounds much better and clearer. the old box was definately restricting the full potential of the sub....well happy with the result  :D
thanks for lookin
Ams  :)
