DSG Only?

Have just been told by carwow that I can now only order a new GTI as a DSG as VW have stopped all manual cars!

Is this true?

Yes. You can only order DSG GTI Performance or R at the moment.

Production of the non-performance pack GTI has stopped. The GTI Performance Pack model is available as a 3 or 5 door with either 6 speed manual or 7 speed DSG transmission; see page 6 of the price list brochure.

You should also be able to ‘build’ a GTI with manual transmission in the configurator on VW’s website.

Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.
