7.5 R stereo not turning on

So my old man has had his Golf R for 6 months now, not going to lie, I'm a little bit jealous with of the colour and the sunroof.

But it has recently developed a problem with the infotainment system where sometimes it just won't turn on, meaning no bluetooth, no nav, no nothing basically, our original thought were that its just the heat getting to it, but now its still doing it as well, then come to think of it they have to test these is all sorts of temperatures to make sure they work.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, or is it a back to the dealer job to get it rectified?

I had this once.

Assuming it's the standard discover nav? I rebooted mine by holding the power button down and it's been fine since.

Does the active info display still work OK? I had the dials working but just the spinning circle between them. Again, back to normal after rebooting.

If the reboot doesn't work, then it should go back to VW for firmware upgrade or further investigation...

Yeah it is the standard discover Nav system, thats what he has been doing, but its not happening at least once a week.

The digital dials still work, just in the middle says something like "infotainment not available"

maybe you're right, send it in for a firmware upgrade and investigation
