Dad picked up a 7.5 R with a sunroof, and I have to say I love it, its never closed when I drive it, but as people have said, I wouldn't pay for it myself as an option!

I had the pan roof on my Audi S1 and there was an annoying rattle every so often, it looks like it uses some of the same or similar parts in the Golf.
 Apart from the rattle I was quite happy with it even though i didn't use it that often.
