Too much crap going on with diesel demonisation,emissions,hybrids,electric, expensive first year VED etc.
I think we've reached a point where it will be 1 step forward and 2 steps back.
Definitely a 'wait and see' game now.
Current: Golf GTD MK7  3 door manual carbon grey.

I'm waiting for the Mk12 RRRRRGTR, apparently it's going to have hover drive and 10000000bhp. Wing backs may be an option by then too

Pretty sure I saw that on the Autoexpress site earlier with exclusive images of what it will look like :whistle:

Ah yes, those ‘100% accurate’ renderings that Auto Express are renowned for. I saw some of those of the mk8 Golf posted on another forum recently that has predominantly US/Canadian members. They seemed to be taken in by them :smiley:
2020 Polo GTI Plus; Pure White, DSG (because they all are)
Gone but not forgotten;
2016 Polo GTI; Blue Silk
2011 mk6 Golf GTD; Carbon Grey
2007 mk5 Golf GT (2.0 170bhp TDI version); Deep Black Pearl
2002  mk4 Golf GTI (the 150 bhp diesel version); Deep Black Pearl

I don't think the latest images from Auto express are far off the mark, apart from those hideous black do nothing lower door stick ons!
The base car can't be 400bhp that's daft IMO. A £45K special maybe.
More likely a more sensible as other folks think 330BHP base model. Which judging by mine now loosened up will be ballistic enough.
Think I'll maybe life permitting? hang fire for the 8.5 facelift 2023? :wink:
