I'm lowered on 18's and I find it just fine.

Its because the chassis is so good.

And you've got to have Tartan seats, it's a Golf GTI

Btw, I've had my GTI for about a month now, and the only "maybe" regret I have regarding extras is not getting the Performance version.

Why do you regret no getting the PP?

definitely the better and better looking brake calipers, I really notice this now I've changed the wheels.

I mean it costs about £1000 at least to get a brake upgrade.

But also the better Diff, the 7 speed DSG box, and people apparently the exhaust is different, sounds better ???

So just seems a lot of upgrade for £1000.

It's the only extra I would consider.

But saying that, I don't think you need that diff, not unless you drive like Jeremy Clarkson :), I find that it flys rounds corners as it is, and also it's something else that could go wrong in years to come.

It definitely grips and goes, that's for sure! Though I did get a little more sideways that I would've liked yesterday. Need to remember that a set of < 100 mile tyres aren't going to be the stickiest!

true.

btw, I noticed a big improvement in road noise when I changed my tyres, I'm now on Goodyear efficientgrip performance.

But I do honestly think that the best "extra" is to get lightweight wheels and better tyres, this has made an incredible difference. Also Eiback Pro Kit, that's awesome.

Anyway, I cant change to a Perfomance version now, so I'm gonna have to pay out for a Brake upgrade.

The dealer had was originally going down the factory order route as they had none in their group available or on order.  When factory became a no go, I asked them to look around other dealer networks and they found one in the UK that was available.  It was then just waiting on the other dealer agreeing to sell it to my dealer.

Always an option to try that if the dealer says none available.
