If you get on their website today they have a sale on. I am surprised by the prices but when playing around I went for the £310 Bosch battery, entered code MAY60 for 40% off and it comes down to £186 but this deal ends today... It also works on the £280 battery making it £168 but I would go for thto Bosch option.

No programming is needed - just install thit new battery and take it for a 5 min drive, any errors on the dash will clear themselves.

I thought you had to reprogram it so that it knows it’s a new battery and charges it so (and it’s only changing the serial number, and can be done easily with obdeleven or vcds), rather than charging a old battery more due to its deterioration,
plus if you get a different type of battery it charges differently too

Will it work without coding?
Yes.

Is it better to code it in?
Yes too.

If you get the same type of battery with same capacity you only need to change serial number with VCDS to tell it that it needs to learn the charging parameters for new battery.

Different type or capacity/cca and you need to changne those, but even then that’s a five - ten minute job.
