Fitting a dash cam cause problems?
« on: 12 February 2018, 11:12 »
Thinking of buying and have fitted by Halfords a Nextbase 512 dashcam, anybody had any issues of fitting to car and don't want to introduce any creaks or rattles due to installation on my 7.5 GTi as up to now no issues with build quality of any rattles?

No rattles with mine either.  Provided it’s installed properly should be fine.

I have a Nextbase 212 from Halfords, used their fitting service and it was very good. No issues and its £30 which includes the hardwire kit you need so its a bargain. Neat install.

No problems just don't stick one on the rear screen, mine wiped out the DAB signal!

I have one (Finevu) in the rear screen with no issue, what brand caused you problems?

Is it a BlackVue dashcam?  Quite a number have experienced DAB signal issues with these.  Fitting a ferrite core helps.

I had a Nextbase 512GW fitted at my local Halfords about a year ago, no issues at all with mine.
