The camera will have been designed for use with the original Mk7 Composition Media unit.

Hi guys. Anyone got any idea how difficult it would be to retrofit? Costs for parts? MkVII GTI clubsport S. Ive seen a company that can fit one for £500 ish but its down south and I'm handy with tools so could install the hardware myself however coding may be an issue.

It’s quite difficult, but a average d.i.y mechanic could probably do it in about 4 hours if he was patient, running the wire from front to back is the hardest part, camera cost about £300 (in fact I have one in the garage with the wiring loom missing)

Would always have one. Love the wide angle saves the need for cross traffic alerts. Love the way its always clean un like the one on our XC60

Thanks for the info guys. I’m good and careful at DIY and it will be fitted to a CSS so should be simple enough.
