Helix Plug and Play Subwoofer
« on: 11 October 2017, 21:25 »
Anyone got this fitted? Any feedback please?

I’m thinking the one that goes in the wheel well not the box that sits on top of the boot shelf.

I didn’t spec Dynaudio, and while volume and sound is good on the standard system, I find that it does quite lack a bit of bass.

Found a few old posts on other forums that suggests VW will supply and fit for around £450. Not cheap but if my bonus from work comes through next month I might be tempted.

Am I right that it’s possible to retain the spare wheel by unscrewing the feet off the Helix unit and swapping the wheel bolt for a longer one, so that both the wheel and the subwoofer fit in the well?

Found it thanks. Must have searched the wrong section of the forum.

Still, any extra comments will be much appreciated.
