Autohold problem
« on: 17 September 2017, 19:42 »
Hi All
Took delivery of a GTD on Friday but seem to have a problem with the autohold.  Trying to put it into words, when i come to a stop at a junction the auto hold will not release.  No amount of dipping the clutch and retrying the brakes stay on.  In the end have to push to button to turn it off.  Seat belt is on, doors are closed.  Has anybody else experienced this problem?
Thanks

Mine was pretty sticky for the first 200-300 miles or so. I had to give it some welly to get it to disengage. It's fine now, just hit 1000 miles.

Does yours release at all? I'd take it back to the dealers if it doesn't

Never seen these issues. The autohold on both my GTDs worked fine. As soon as you drive off, it releases perfectly well. If it was an issue with one of the interlocks (eg. seat belt et.), I would have thought it would affect the autohold coming on, not going off. Suggest you get it back to the dealer straight away. If it's a problem, it's a pretty obvious one ..... and I'd be asking why the dealer did not pick it up during the PDI inspection.

Not normal, it should be faultless from day one. As said get it back to the main dealer to sort it out for you. Once it is fixed it will work seamlessly.

You can adjust the sensitivity of the autohold with OBDeleven and whilst it's probably worth taking it t the dealers whilst so new, it might suggest it's a simple software tweak needed.

Without trying to teach you to suck eggs, have you got it turned on?

Directly behind the handbrake button there is another marked 'Auto Hold'. Check (once you're driving normally) that the orange light is on as that shows it's turned on.

Also, you need to have your seatbelt on and all doors closed etc. or it turns itself off.

Early 7s had this but a software change meant no seat belt was required.
