tailgate bootlid seal

Does anybody know of any alternatives to the genuine £100 (!!!) tailgate seal?

Are there any places that sell rubber extrusions by the metre that would fit?

It's a ridiculous amount of money to pay and I don't really fancy buying a second hand one, I just can't see any aftermarket copies anywhere.

Classic-vw.co.uk might be worth a skek, haven't used them personally but prices seem keen and good range of seals for mk2
