7r brake upgrade
« on: 05 May 2017, 16:19 »
Hi guys

I'm going to take my 7R up to a revo stage 1, at the same time probably upgrade the brakes as my current ones are getting to the stage of requiring new discs.

VWR is about £1500-2000 for a new set, but obviously I would prefer to spend less on them. Is there a go to bolt on set that would suffice? I've seen TTRS brakes recommended and these can be had for about half the price as VWR.

Any recommendations?

Ross

How about the Clubsport-S brakes? Same size discs/calipers so they're a direct swap. I know from the R-forum a few guys have done this and it doesn't cost anything like that.
MK8.5 GTI Clubsport. Moonstone grey. Queenstown 19’s. DCC. Harmon Kardon sound. Pano roof.

£266.52 for a pair of the front discs & £140 roughly for the front pads is the quoted price. Not bad for front end
