I like the Isaac Blue in some pictures but in others like the one above it looks really dark, almost like a navy.

Yeah... all the colours are very light sensitive and I suppose a phone camera isn't the best for capturing how it really looks. Indium grey looks very flat/dull/dark in some photos too and in others it looks a lot brighter.

I think the brighter colours such as white / white silver work very well with the 7.5.

Yes, this is one of my biggest gripes with the GTi/GTD. The colour pallette is rather limited if you don't like dark colours. Three shades of white, flat red and Tungsten Silver.

I agree. I think the lighter look better but there's not much choice! Love white but every GTI I seem to see is in that colour so White Silver maybe the one.

True Tornado Red is flat but is far from flat in the way it can really glow. On a sunny day after a wash it's so vibrant I reckon mine can be spotted from the space station

Cheers hog_hedge, in the past I always prefered metallics but I'm so impressed by TR. I tend not to repeat colours when I change cars but may make an exception next time.

You sum it up well. Dark shades, light shades and red.

So many conservative colours and red.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with Watts.

Though red does a take a bit of effort to get it looking that good, Watts.

Go have a look at the Seat Leon colour range. It is much, much better than VW.

Tornado red looks class. I've changed my order to Silver White though. What's people's opinions on the Santiago or Brescia's? I've ordered the Brescia 19" as I've not seen many GTI's with them other than the Clubsport.

Actually I find it quite forgiving, even when fairly mucky when the light catches it right it still looks great. Plus I'm a right lazy old bugger so don't do that much or spend much time on it. So long as it has a good layer of wax and a good spray of QD after a wash,  job's a goodun
