If trading in at at non-VW dealership; probably no impact on the trade in price you're given. When I took my mk6 GTD to my local VW dealer to appraise for trade-in, it had a much nicer (IMO) set of anthracite powder coated VW Rotary alloys on. Dealer wanted the original diamond cut Charleston alloys put back on before I traded it in, although I suspect some dealers would've been happy to take it with the Rotarys on. I sold the Rotarys, and put the money I got from the sale towards a set of anthracite powder coated VW Motorsport alloys for my Polo GTI. The original diamond cut alloys with Bridgestone tyres that came with the Polo are in storage, ready to go back on the car when I eventually sell it.
